Chaos Communication Camp 2007

Greetings from the Chaos Communication Camp 2007.

I'm travelling light here, so no big permanent installation. I am however pretty mobile, so I'm giving impromptu demos to people that call me on my DECT phone (+3458).

I've arranged to use a Game Designers Village here at the camp to give a slightly bigger presentation on Saturday night at 23:00. So, let's see how that goes.

And it goes without saying, if you are here, and would like to meet up, or see fijuu, give me a call.

yikes.

big thanks to Celia for her work on Indiecade and getting it a slot in the festival. thanks to all others for getting the installation box up and running.. not to mention pix's 11th hour netcat script-fu/hackeysack..

we won't be at E3 ourselves, so send us some snaps of ppl playing Fijuu2 if you're there.

fijuu2 at NIME 07 / new york

fijuu2 was accepted for presentation at the New Interfaces for Musical Expression conference 06, so we're currently looking into the logistics of shipping the installation machine over the Atlantic.

now that fijuu2 is so easy to install talking to couriers looks increasingly excessive..

fijuu2 at lac2007

finally a showing in fijuu's home-town.

very late notice, but on thursday, march 22 (16:00-17:30) (ie. today) and sunday, march 25 (11:00-14:00), fijuu2 will be on display at the 5th International Linux Audio Conference in berlin.

if you are around, come and say hi. we will be in room H2038 in the main TU building.

fijuu2 demonstration video uploaded

while teaching at Georgia Tech i've been in the company of some big screens, so i took the opportunity to film a long overdue clip of fijuu2 in use.

we'd hoped for an inset of the gamepad but i didn't have access to two cameras at the time. regardless, this clip should explain what it's all about.

we just got word that Cybersonica will be organising a Late at Tate Britain party on Friday April 6, and fijuu2 will be making an appearance. So, if you haven't yet seen it in action, or got it running yourself on a handy ubuntu machine, now is your chance :)

oops!

it seems there was a teeny-weeny show-stopper bug in the fijuu2 package i made ;)

well, i did say they were test packages.

anyhow, it should be fixed now, so check back in at the readme and grab the latest fijuu2 packages, if you were having trouble (by which i mean, everyone, as far as i can tell).

ubuntu 6.10 (edgy) fijuu2 packages available

i've recently made some test packages of fijuu2 for ubuntu.

until now, installing fijuu2 has been quite challenging for most people. hopefully with these packages, it should be considerably easier.

if you have a machine running ubuntu 6.10, with a supported 3d graphics card and a logitech dual action gamepad, please try it out, and let us know how you go.
